Last week, Chambers sued God, accusing him "of causing untold death and horror and threatening to cause more still," says an article on
www.news.yahoo.com.
"Chambers says in his lawsuit that God has made terroristic threats against the senator and his constituents, inspired fear, and caused 'widespread death, destruction, and terrorization of millions upon millions of the earth's inhabitants.'"
Often, the senator criticizes Christians, skips the legislative session of prayer, and "says God has caused 'fearsome floods...horrendous hurricanes, terrifying tornadoes.'"
But what triggered Chambers to "[seek] a permanent injunction against the Almighty?"
According to an article on
www.christianpost.com, "Chambers told a local Fox affiliate that his lawsuit is in response to bills brought forth by other state senators to try and stop frivolous lawsuits from being filed" and not because he has "any kind of personal objections against [God]."
"The Constitution requires that the courthouse doors be open, so you cannot prohibit the filing of suits," said Chambers. "Anyone can sue anyone they choose, even God."
And because of God's omnipresence, the senator is able to sue him.
