Law Firm Holds Office inside Jail Cell

"The office for Woods and Woods is located in the old Vanderburgh County Jail — an 1890 downtown building honored Tuesday with a historical marker from the Indiana Historical Bureau," says the Associated Press.

In 1903, 12 people were killed during a race riot near the jail cell. Then, from 1967 to 1994, the cell remained empty, collecting dirt and weeds. Finally, the building was renovated, and in 2004, Woods and Woods moved in.
