As a first-year associate at TroyGould in Los Angeles, Holtz discovered she had passed the bar exam on November 16 at 6 p.m.
She was soon sworn in and admitted to the California bar, where she's not only the youngest bar member in the state but possibly the nation.
Recently, she spent time on trial in the Superior Court of Orange County, successfully winning a plaintiff's case with two of her colleagues. Of her experience, she said, "It was my first trial, and it was a fantastic experience. It's very rare for business disputes to go to trial, and I was thrilled to experience that so early in my career."
But this 18-year-old lawyer isn't entirely atypical. To celebrate her bar results, Holtz rewarded herself by shopping "on Rodeo" and having dinner with friends.
