Yes, there are several holiday staples to ensure that you enjoy a love-filled day, such as candy and flowers, but there are also more innovative and original ideas by which to surprise your loved one this February 14th. For instance, what better way to enjoy this holiday than in a limited-edition Love Tub? It will not only be a present to your loved one but a gift to yourself as well.

Vista, California-based Dimension One Spas (D1 Spas), maker of the Love Tub, was founded 31 years ago by spouses Bob and Linda Hallam. Starting out as a seller and marketer of above-ground spas, the company has since gone on to establish itself as "one of the world's leading firms in the design and manufacture of luxury home hot tubs/spas." The company, which today is still family owned, incorporates cutting-edge technology into all of its products to ensure that they realize their ultimate objective, which is to rejuvenate the body, mind, and soul.

Keeping these primary goals in mind, the company decided to create a special product offering for Valentine's Day by adding an obvious romantic touch to one of its already love-focused products as part of a Valentine's Day sweepstakes; and thus the Love Tub was conjured up. In this promotion the company is providing the opportunity for one lucky individual to win a $20,000 Love Tub, of which only 100 will be made.

The company has filled the hot tub with heart-shaped candies and has asked that people guess how many there are. The lucky individual who guesses correctly will win the spa. (The sweepstakes ends on February 29th.) As Bob Hallam explained, "a shiny red hot tub filled with candied hearts sure beats a box of chocolates on Valentine's Day!"

Designed by Vic Walker, the hot tub is a candy apple-red, state-of-the-art "Walker Signature Series" Amore Bay spa. Featuring a total of 62 jets, the hot tub holds 415 gallons of water and comfortably fits six adults. Other product highlights include barrier-free seating, bartop accent lighting and architectural uplifting, a four-foot water brook, three water fountains, an iPod-compatible stereo system, and a his and hers UltraLounge. Further underscoring the love theme, heart shapes can be found throughout the spa's interior.

In addition to featuring innovative design and technology concepts, the tub also features inventive eco-friendly materials. The tub's gray exterior, like the majority of D1 Spa exteriors, is made from recycled plastic milk jugs and features a cattail design etched in black on the front.

So in lieu of the stereotypical Valentine's Day mainstays this year, make this Valentine's Day even hotter with the addition of a Love Tub, and ensure that love is what the day is truly all about.
