Sr. Director Ken Vermillion gave a statement regarding the decision to hire on Datacert Inc., ''A detailed review of key legal department management systems helped us determine that it was time to upgrade our existing spend and matter management systems to embrace more current technologies and features, and to implement a platform that simplifies the integration of other best-in-class legal department management systems.''
Datacert uses Passport, a patent-pending technology platform. Passport consolidates even the most expansive legal department’s legal technology solutions into one space. Ideally, this provides any legal team more visibility of their own legal solutions. ''Following an extensive RFP process,'' Vermillion continued, ''We selected Passport because it proved to be the only platform with the comprehensive capabilities to meet our current requirements and easily evolve to support our future needs. The ease of configuration and integration that Passport offers, combined with user-friendly features in Datacert’s matter management system, will help us greatly enhance legal process efficiency.''
Prior to Passport’s release, Datacert had been developing the platform with Walmart for 18 months. Datacert’s president and CEO, Jim Tallman, said, ''It was a terrific experience to work with Walmart for the development of Passport and we are excited to welcome them to the platform’s growing client roster.''
