The goal of the event is to promote interaction among legal executives, so as to empower innovation for more effective management, and increase the overall value of legal departments to organizations. In addition, the event provides an open forum for legal executives, and aims to empower change and innovation for the legal industry, as well as address critical industry concerns.

A key event at the conference, per the August 30th marketwatch.com press release, will focus on the optimization of legal operations and service delivery in a global economy driven by technology, and will be led by Professor Richard Susskind, author, lecturer and specialist in the field of legal technology. With over 25 years of experience to his credit, Susskind has served for over a decade as IT Adviser to the Lord Chief Justice of England, and in addition to his other books, most recently, he authored, The End of Lawyers? Rethinking the Nature of Legal Services. He was quoted as saying: ''This conference offers a great opportunity for leaders in the in-house legal community to come together and discuss practical solutions to our industry's most pressing challenges.''
