Holland & Knight LLP, one of the largest law firms from Florida, has opened its 18th U.S. office in Dallas, Texas. A group of 24 lawyers including 12 partners from Patton Boggs LLP are joining the new Holland & Knight office. The Dallas office will be headed by James C. Chadwick, Former Co-chair of Patton Boggs's business department.

On the occasion of the new group joining the firm, Steven Sonberg, Managing Partner at Holland & Knight said, "The outstanding group of lawyers joining our firm will enable us to expand our existing corporate finance and restructuring practices. They have premiere clients and practices, and know the market well … The establishment of the Dallas office will further the firm's strategic vision of expansion."

On the departure of the group from Paton Boggs, last week, Patton issued a polite statement declaring that the colleagues leaving their premise were their friends. Additionally, the statement thanked the leaving staff for their service provided and wished them well in their new endeavors.
