I apologize to those of you who dislike my book reviews they will be more frequent during the summer, so many books! Although if it helps, my reading will slow down a little with work taking up most of my day! For those of you who like my book reviews, here's another!
But first, some fun tidbits.
The map on the wall in my office (don't worry, I don't have my own office I share it with an attorney poor guy) is so distracting! I find myself staring at it and looking at town names! My goal is to send at least one entertaining one to my friend every day at work. Yesterday, however, was a Friday. Which meant I spent way too much time staring at the map Behold:

Okay, so now on to my book review!
While I was in Colorado, I read The Peach Keeper by Sarah Addison Allen.
I found this book while looking around my favorite bookstore in Kansas City: Rainy Day Books. They have a section near the front that is all staff recommendations. These people really know their books, so I figured I would take their word for it! I chose this one because the story sounded interesting, and I wanted to try a book I'd never heard of!
One thing I loved about this book is that the point of view kept changing. The book starts out being narrated by Willa Jackson, a 30-year-old who grew up as part of a very old southern family in North Carolina, with a special connection to an old home called the Blue Ridge Madam. When the house is purchased by another family and restored, it begins to bring up secrets from Willa's family's past.
Not only does the book contain old family secrets, but it's also full of present-day romance! Although I felt that the romances were the type that I guessed would happen right at the start, I still enjoyed following their stories! This is a fun book to read, and definitely a quick beach book or easy read if you just want a fun story. I really did enjoy the book because I love stories about old family history (and of course romance), but I wouldn't say it was a top favorite by any means. Just enjoyable!
