Job Overview:

The Intellectual Property Attorney will be responsible for providing legal counsel and strategic advice on intellectual property matters, particularly related to mechanical engineering. This role involves conducting patent searches, drafting patent applications, and advising clients on patent infringement and litigation matters.

Duties:

• Conducting patent searches to assess patentability and infringement risks.
• Drafting and prosecuting patent applications related to mechanical engineering.
• Providing legal opinions and strategic advice to clients on intellectual property matters.
• Assisting in intellectual property litigation cases, including patent infringement disputes.
• Conducting due diligence reviews for intellectual property transactions.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the bar in the state of Utah.
• Experience practicing intellectual property law, with a focus on mechanical engineering.
• Demonstrated experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications.
• Strong understanding of patent laws and regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Utah State Bar.
