Job Overview: A law firm in Myrtle Beach, SC, is seeking an experienced Medical Malpractice/Nursing Home Negligence Civil Trial Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will handle complex litigation cases related to medical malpractice and nursing home negligence, advocating for clients in civil trial proceedings.

Duties:

• Represent clients in civil litigation cases involving medical malpractice and nursing home negligence.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to prepare cases for trial.
• Draft legal documents, including complaints, motions, discovery requests, and briefs.
• Attend depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials as required.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the South Carolina State Bar in good standing.
• Minimum of 3 years of law experience, preferably focused on medical malpractice and nursing home negligence.
• Proven track record of successful civil litigation experience, including trial experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Certifications (Preferred):

• Certification in Medical Malpractice Law or related specialty area (if applicable).

Skills:

• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Thorough understanding of medical and legal terminology related to malpractice and negligence cases.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
