Job Title: Attorney, Aerospace & Defense
Experience: 3+ years in federal government contracts
Education: Admitted to the State Bar of Michigan or . Bar, or eligible for admission in Maryland or Virginia
Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on government and commercial contracts related to A&D matters
- Draft legal memoranda, bid protests, REAs and claims, and policy articles
- Conduct legal research on government contracts, administrative law, and regulatory requirements
- Manage new and existing client relationships
- Actively participate in business development
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Efficient and effective legal researcher
- Proficient in using legal research services
- Sound, independent judgment
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Desire to actively contribute to business development
Experience and Training:
- 3+ years of experience in federal government contracts
- Space law experience is a plus
- Familiarity with FAR, DFARS, other agency FAR supplements, and compliance
- Experience in administrative or court proceedings, including bid protests and claims
- Admitted to the State Bar of Michigan or . Bar, or eligible for admission in Maryland or Virginia
- Portable book of business is a plus
- Knowledge of government contracting cost issues, IP rights, security clearances, and CFIUS is a plus
