Job Overview:

A law firm is currently seeking experienced litigation attorneys for location in Birmingham. The firm is focused on steady growth and is looking for associates and partners with specific litigation experience. Attorneys will have the opportunity to take on significant responsibilities early in their careers, including direct client contact, attending hearings, taking depositions, and participating in trials.

Location:

• Birmingham, AL

Duties:

• Handle a variety of litigation cases from the outset.
• Manage client relationships and provide legal advice.
• Attend hearings and take depositions.
• Participate in trial preparation and trials.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies.
• Draft legal documents including motions, pleadings, and briefs.
• Work closely with support staff, including secretaries and paralegals.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in litigation, with a focus on specific areas as needed.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage complex cases and meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Must be licensed to practice law in the state of Florida or Alabama, depending on location.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the state bar in the relevant jurisdiction (Florida or Alabama).

Skills:

• Strong litigation and trial skills.
• Excellent legal research and writing capabilities.
• Client-focused with the ability to build relationships.
