Litigation Secretary - Provide comprehensive legal and administrative support to attorneys in Phoenix, AZ office at leading national law firm **Members Only.** Competitive compensation and excellent benefits package offered.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare, edit, and file legal documents such as letters, pleadings, motions, and discovery
- Communicate with clients, counsel, court personnel, and other external parties
- Manage files and maintain confidentiality of attorney-client relationship
- Maintain calendar and deadline reminder systems
- Work collaboratively in a team and effectively use team software
- Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications and Prior Experience:
- 3-5 years of civil defense litigation experience as a legal secretary
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks under time constraints
- Knowledge of State and Federal court rules and local rules pertaining to litigation procedures
- Proficiency in computer programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe
- Ability to effectively communicate and work well under pressure
- Interpersonal and customer service skills necessary for professional communication with clients and colleagues
