A law firm in Overland Park, KS, specializing in defense personal injury and insurance defense, is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to manage a diverse caseload from inception to resolution. The ideal candidate should possess strong litigation skills and be capable of handling depositions independently.

Duties:

• Conduct depositions of plaintiffs, witnesses, and experts.
• Manage all aspects of litigation cases, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts.
• Develop and execute case strategies for efficient resolution.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice law in Kansas; additional admission in Missouri is a plus.
• 5-10 years of litigation experience, preferably in defense personal injury and insurance defense.
• Proven track record of handling a significant caseload independently.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in Kansas.
