'An Environmental attorney handles legal matters that pertain to the earth and its natural resources. Environmental attorneys interpret and provide advice on many different kinds of federal, state and local laws that deal with the environment. Environmental laws address oil spills, pollution, air and water quality, emissions, pesticides, groundwater, land use, land development, zoning issues, asbestos, wetlands, waste, landfills, and the protection of animals and their habitats. The candidate should have JD Degree from an accredited law school. Member of the Ohio Bar. Must have significant experience with environmental transactions, compliance, and regulatory advocacy. Strong academic record necessary. Proven ability to develop business and maintain client relationships.

Mid-level to senior Tort Litigation and Environmental Attorney

The candidate should have 4-6 years of experience. Must have significant trial experience and litigation skills, including taking depositions of fact and expert witnesses, oral argument of discovery and pretrial motions, and examination of witnesses at trial. Must be experienced in all aspects of trial preparation. Must have excellent academic credentials from a top-tier law school as well as strong legal research and writing skills. Preference for candidates admitted to practice in both Florida and Georgia (or admitted in Georgia and willing to take the Florida Bar Exam).

Environmental Attorney

The candidate should have 2-5 years of prior law firm experience with environmental litigation and compliance matters. Experience with sectors such as oil and gas, refining, power generation and transmission, liquid natural gas (LNG), renewable resources, chemicals, manufacturing, technology, mining, construction, mining, cement and construction and their unique environmental concerns are appreciated. Must be Texas licensed.

Must be admitted to a US state Bar and be in good standing. Admission to the State Bar of Colorado is expected if not currently admitted. Experience in environmental regulatory, compliance, enforcement and transactional matters and all substantive areas of complex litigation including: legal research, written discovery, law and motion (discovery, dispositive and trial related motions, pleadings and briefs), court appearances, mediations, arbitration, client and witness interviews, trial preparation is essential. Experience/working knowledge of the major federal environmental laws including: Resource Conservation & Recovery Act, Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act and Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation & Liability Act.
