Angioni Law, . is a growing California litigation boutique representing companies in sophisticated employment and business matters. We are seeking a talented and motivated Associate Attorney to join our team.

Our attorneys represent businesses ranging from emerging and growing companies to established and publicly traded organizations. Our practice includes employment and business litigation, workplace advice and counseling, compliance, and outside general counsel services. We represent clients in California state and federal courts, arbitration, mediation, and administrative ;

We are looking for an attorney who wants to do meaningful legal work, take ownership of matters, develop as a litigator, and become an important part of a growing firm. Our associates are expected to understand the strategy behind their work and, as their experience permits, participate directly in all stages of litigation.

Duties and Responsibilities 

The Associate Attorney will work closely with the firm's attorneys and clients on employment and business disputes throughout California. Responsibilities will include:

•    Managing and assisting with litigation matters from inception through resolution; 
•    Drafting pleadings, motions, oppositions, replies, discovery, correspondence, and other substantive legal work; 
•    Conducting legal research and providing thoughtful analysis of complex legal issues; 
•    Developing written discovery and reviewing and analyzing document productions and discovery responses; 
•    Preparing for and taking or defending depositions, depending upon experience; 
•    Preparing witnesses and clients for deposition; 
•    Attending court hearings, case management conferences, mediations, arbitrations, and other proceedings; 
•    Assisting with and, where appropriate, arguing motions; 
•    Participating meaningfully in trial preparation and trial; 
•    Evaluating cases and helping develop litigation strategy; 
•    Communicating directly and professionally with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and third parties; 
•    Providing practical employment advice and counseling to business clients, depending upon experience; 
•    Maintaining ownership of assigned deadlines, projects, and case responsibilities; and 
•    Working collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, and staff to provide exceptional client ;

Candidate Requirements 

A current California State Bar license and good standing with the State Bar of California are mandatory requirements for this position.
The successful candidate should also have:

•    Meaningful experience practicing law, preferably involving civil litigation; 
•    Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills; 
•    Excellent judgment and attention to detail; 
•    The ability to manage deadlines and multiple matters without constant supervision; 
•    A strong sense of ownership and personal accountability; 
•    The ability to communicate effectively and professionally with clients, colleagues, courts, and opposing counsel; 
•    A willingness to receive feedback and continuously improve; 
•    The initiative to identify what needs to be done rather than waiting to be told every next step; 
•    Comfort working independently in a remote environment while remaining accessible and engaged with the team; and 
•    A commitment to professionalism, integrity, preparation, teamwork, and exceptional client ;

Experience with California employment litigation and/or business litigation is strongly preferred. Deposition, motion, mediation, arbitration, and trial experience are also valued.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, primarily remote position. The attorney must nevertheless be available to attend in-person meetings, depositions, court appearances, mediations, trials, client meetings, and other proceedings as required.

Because the firm practices throughout California and in-person appearances will periodically be necessary, candidates must be able to travel as reasonably required for client matters.
