Job Overview:
A reputable law firm is seeking a Junior Litigation Personal Injury Attorney to join their dynamic team. This role involves managing personal injury cases from initiation to resolution, providing essential legal advice, and collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.

Duties:

• Oversee personal injury case files throughout the entire legal process.
• Assess potential personal injury claims and deliver legal counsel to prospective clients.
• Draft, review, and revise legal documents including claims, motions, and pleadings.
• Conduct legal research, particularly in case law and premises liability; gather relevant evidence such as insurance policies and medical records.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, expert witnesses, insurance adjusters, and medical providers to gather necessary information.
• Negotiate settlement offers and advocate on behalf of clients to reach suitable agreements.
• Attend court hearings, trials, mediations, and depositions across California.
• Keep meticulous records and update the case management system regarding the status of all cases.
• Supervise a team of paralegals and legal assistants to ensure efficient case management.
• Manage scheduling and deadlines by the California Code of Civil Procedure.
• Calculate costs and compensation to prepare settlement breakdowns for clients and insurance providers.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
• Licensed and admitted to practice law in California.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admittance to the California State Bar.

Skills:

• Proficient in legal research, particularly with tools like Westlaw.
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
• Experience with case management systems, preferably CasePeer.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
