This role involves managing a full caseload of workers’ compensation cases, advising clients, and representing them in litigation. Duties

• Handle all aspects of workers’ compensation cases, from initial evaluation to resolution.
• Develop strategic litigation plans for each case.
• Prepare and manage case budgets, as necessary.
• Conduct legal discovery, including depositions and document reviews.
• Appear in court and other venues for hearings, conferences, and trials.
• Draft legal documents such as motions, briefs, and correspondence.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved.
• Negotiate settlements or litigate cases to conclusion while maintaining strong client relationships.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the defense of workers' compensation cases.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex caseloads and conduct trials.
• Strong skills in negotiation, communication, and legal writing.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with the legal team when needed.

Education

• Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in California.

Certifications

• Active membership in the California Bar is required.
