Oxford, son of Brinkley Harmon Oxford, Jr., passed the bar exam and became an integral part of the firm. Together, father and son practiced law until B.H. Oxford's passing in 1948.
The firm's legacy continued with Brinkley Oxford, who passed the bar in 1975 and resurrected the name of Oxford & Oxford several months later. In 1985, Ricardo Gonzalez, a talented attorney, joined the firm, bringing his unique perspective and skills to the table. The partnership between Brinkley and Ricardo was solidified in 1991, and the firm began practicing under the name Oxford, Oxford & Gonzalez in Edinburg, Texas.
Tragedy struck in 2004 when Brinkley Oxford passed away. However, his final request was honored, and his name remains on the firm's letterhead. To pay homage to its roots while embracing the future, the firm's name was shortened to Oxford & Gonzalez.
