What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
Quit playing favoritism. Manage they way any other business manages. Stop letting your employees run your company. You'll stay in business longer. Hopefully.

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
When I started working for this law firm things were great. 2 months in, they fired my co-worker, 1 month after that they fired my manager. Mind you, I'd never worked in a law firm. That basically put me in charge of my department. it became a one seat department. Everything was done by me. Several people quit during this time frame. Fast forward about 3 years. We moved to a new location and through thus time several of the people that quit they hired back they always do. Fast forward about a year. Several files had been taken away from the firm herein started the layoffs. Now the people who stuck it out with the firm through the tough times were the ones laid off first. The ones they hired back are the ones they kept because their friends that got them rehired are now managers and they let those managers decide who should stay and who should go. It should have been the partners choice, but they were too cowardess to make those decisions themselves. The law firm has lost over half their business. I don't know how long they'll be open. But I know and hear from some of the employees that things are from bad to worse.

What did you not like about this institution?
See above for an explanation of why you shouldn't work there. It was good at first. But then the bustouts came crawling back. We were a strong company before that.
