Nothing stands out that needs changing. I feel the company already does a great job listening to employees and making ongoing improvements, so I’m happy with how things are handled.

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
What I love most about working here is the people. I get to team up with dedicated colleagues every day, and there’s a really supportive vibe that makes a difference. Plus, it feels great knowing our work genuinely helps clients and impacts their lives in a positive way.

What did you not like about this institution?
Honestly, there’s really nothing I dislike about working here. I feel supported, valued, and genuinely appreciate both the people and the work environment.

I haven’t encountered any particular people, departments, or services that I’d suggest avoiding. The team here is solid and supportive.

How could this employer run its business to employees or the public better?
They’re already doing a great job, so honestly, just keeping up the awesome work and staying consistent with how they support employees and clients is really all that’s needed.

What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
None. LGL and its founding lawyer, Kate, are already awesome.

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
Despite her academic and legal credentials, Kate stays humble and approachable. As her employee, she listened to my input and considered it well. During consultations, I observed that she listens to individual stories and offers customized immigration pathways. No cookie-cutter pathway will work for everyone; that is one lesson I learned from her during my stay.

LGL is always helpful. Approach the firm, call them, text them, and they will always respond.

Nothing I can think of. LGL is very modern and keeps up with the times.

Just keep doing what you're doing, your committment to the well being and safety of the immigrant community is commendable.

The team is very supportive with eachother, but also understand the urgency the clients have and work accordingly.

The team is humane and really cares about each other, the office is beautiful, and Kate is an amazing human being.

There’s nothing major I dislike. Like any job, it can sometimes get busy or stressful, but that’s to be expected in legal work. Overall, the positives far outweigh any negatives.

Honestly, I wouldn’t change a thing. From what I’ve seen (both during my time at the firm, and in the news), Attorney Kate is doing an incredible job advocating for immigrant communities in Austin and beyond. She’s a quality human being and a dedicated professional, and it shows in how the firm continues to grow and impact lives.

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
The attorneys, the paralegals, the intake and sales co-workers, without question. Lincoln-Goldfinch Law attracts kind, driven, justice-oriented humans, and being surrounded by such a passionate team was incredibly energizing. The leadership truly walks the walk when it comes to values-based work. I also appreciated the flexibility the firm offered to us, the transparency from leadership, and the genuine efforts to create a healthy, supportive and inclusive workplace culture. You could tell that people really cared about their work, about each other, and about the immigrant communities we served.

What did you not like about this institution?
Like any growing law firm, there were moments of transition or change that created stress. At times, the pace could be intense (mostly during Covid-19) given the emotional nature of immigration law.. but it always came from a place of wanting to do right by the clients. While not everything was perfect, constant feedback from ALL staff was encouraged and genuinely considered.

Honestly, nothing stands out as something to avoid. This firm maintained a high bar for professionalism and integrity. When issues came up, they were addressed head-on, not swept under the rug. That culture of accountability made it a place I felt proud to be a part of.

Lincoln-Goldfinch Law already does a lot right, especially in terms of being mission-driven and people-focused. Continuing to invest in leadership training, internal communication, and equitable career advancement opportunities would make the organization even stronger.

Nothing really, entire team cares about the firm's clients, to me this is what is most important for lawyers working with people during a tough time in their lives.

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
The family oriented culture and care for the firm's clients.

What did you not like about this institution?
Sometimes we got so busy things got pretty stressful, the growth of the firm while I was still working there was incredible so bit of growing pains at times but I really enjoyed what I did and the people I worked with.

Nothing should be avoided in my opinion, don't think anyone needing the help of an immigration lawyer could find a better team to work with.

How could this employer run its business to employees or the public better?
During my 4 years at the firm we had 2 company gatherings outside the office and work. It would be great to do that yearly, everyone had a blast and came back recharged.

What did you not like about this institution?
This “law firm” is an immigration mill. They try to take as many cases as possible. When you call for a consultation, you will have an hour long conversation with a salesperson, not an attorney. You have to pay thousands of dollars before they will even let you talk to an attorney. The whole place is disorganized, leading to many unhappy clients who they call “customers.” Unethical all around.
