What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
I think more consistent firm meetings would be helpful to communicate changes within the firm and new/changing expectations. With that said, I've found management to have an "open door policy," so all of my questions are answered readily.

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
As someone who has worked at multiple law firms, this is by far the best working environment I've had the privilege to work. I've been at the firm for over two and a half years. Staff and attorneys are great. It seems the typical "lawyer ego" is not present in the office and everyone is treated with respect. Office manager is very understanding and works with your personal life to make sure if you're sick/have a family emergency, you can easily tend to it without guilt or fear of unfair repercussions.

What did you not like about this institution?
Not surprisingly, it is a fast paced environment, but management seems to acknowledge and try to assist in every way possible.

All of the attorneys are great to work with. I've never been yelled at or belittled in any way. They never try to come off as better than anyone else. All of them are super down to earth and easy going.

How could this employer run its business to employees or the public better?
Firm culture is everything. The past firms I worked at were very hierarchical and partners were treated very well whereas the staff seemed to be walked over and worked to the bone. Not here. Even the managing partner comes out and jokes with all of us and treats us with respect. Instead of blaming support staff for everything, he takes responsibility if he did not communicate clearly or made a mistake. Truly a unique culture for a law firm and truly a great one!

The attorneys are all very nice and make sure you have everything you need. They are also always willing to help answer any questions and guide their employees to help them succeed and understand the job in ways that help benefit the entire firm. The management is fantastic and very understanding and helpful! They truly work well with everyone and connect with each employee and make everyone feel welcome and appreciated.

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
I love this firm. The attorneys are friendly to all staff, down to earth and fair. It is an environment where everyone's input is valued, regardless of their position. The firm cares about their people and what's going on in each of their lives, but only in a way that is supportive and not intrusive. I've worked in several different business offices in my career, but this, by far, has been the best environment in which I've worked.

What did you not like about this institution?
Law offices can be stressful and busy at times, and that is the case here. However, it is more a reflection of the nature of the business than those who work here.

Not an issue here; I feel comfortable approaching any and all attorneys in this firm if I needed to speak to them about something.

Friendly, transparent people. Attorneys who don't act like they are better than everyone else in the office. Caring and attentive management. A firm that puts family first - for everyone. Great benefits.
