Attorney Marisol Perez was born in Cuba. She emigrated to the United States with her parents when she was a young adult.
Marisol graduated with honors from Miami Dade College. She completed her Bachelor's degree in Political Science at Florida International University. Soon after, she obtained her Juris Doctorate degree from Western Michigan University Thomas M Cooley Law School and was admitted to practice law in Florida in 2017. In her aim to further her career, she continued her legal education and specialized with a Master in Law in Homeland and National Security.
She worked as a dependency attorney with the Department of Children and Families and as a prosecutor with the State Attorney's Office in the Twentieth Judicial Circuit. She was admitted to practice law in the Middle and Southern District Court of Florida, as well as the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. She is a member of the Florida Bar and American Immigration Lawyers Association.
