About Us

Sanger Law Firm, P.C. is a Santa Barbara law firm limiting its practice to Criminal Defense and Civil Litigation in the State and Federal courts.

In addition to the Santa Barbara office, serving Santa Barbara, Goleta, Isla Vista, Carpinteria, and Ventura County, the firm has a branch office in Santa Maria which primarily serves Santa Maria, Lompoc, Santa Ynez, Solvang, Buellton, Los Olivos, Guadalupe, Orcutt as well as, San Luis Obispo County. Actual cases take the members of the firm to the Superior Courts throughout the state of California. Federal cases are handled in the federal courts located in the four Districts of California, headquartered in Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego and Sacramento. Appeals are handled in the state Courts of Appeal throughout California, as well as the California Supreme Court and, for federal cases, the Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. Selected cases are handled in other state and federal districts outside of California including the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Central Districts of Illinois, U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and D.C. Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.

Sanger Law Firm's criminal practice includes all felonies and misdemeanors such as white collar crimes, securities fraud, wire fraud, money laundering, tax evasion, embezzlement, anti-trust violations, SEC and FTC matters, RICO offenses and business and regulatory offenses, as well as, capital crimes (death penalty), homicide, sex crimes, other crimes against the person, drug and alcohol offenses, drunk driving (DUI, DWI) theft and other offenses. Its civil practice includes business litigation, complex cases, employment and regulatory matters, SEC, FTC, anti-trust, significant personal injury cases and defense of civil litigation related to governmental investigations, as well as, on a selective basis, civil rights cases including discrimination on the basis of race, gender, age and disability and police misconduct, including wrongful death.
