What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
4.Former EmployeeNot as bad as people complain about-they are just miserable people who like to complainAnonymous Employee RecommendProsI worked here for a couple of years. I thought the management staff was friendly. They always said hi to me when walking by. I never had the issues a lot of people complain about. Given a lot of work to do, but I like always being busy. Most of the complaints come from people who like to whine and want to get paid to do nothing all day. If you just sit down and do your job, you will have no issues. And then they won't mind the occasional chatting and other not work stuff that goes on. In comparison to other law firms on Long Island, they do pay pretty well. And for the people who do work hard, they will sometimes allow overtime. Raises were given by what was deserved along standard guidelines. Of course who wouldn't like a 10% raise, but that's not realistic for any company. Overall, I would say it was a pretty good place to work. I had moved on because I chose to leave the legal field and had nothing to do with the firm.ConsThey could give a few more of the holidays off that most companies give, especially the ones where the Courts are closed. Some of the support staff is very catty. But if you don't get involved then this will not be an issue.Advice to ManagementPossibly chip in a little more towards heath insurance. Many companies do things to promote employees to be healthy. If the employee does all the things, the company will cover more of the cost than for someone who doesn't.
