Diverse Firm with Some Management Issues on May 19, 2024 - Current Employee Mr. in San Francisco City,

Current Employee

What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
Pay us what we are worth and treat everyone better. Try actual communication. Leaving everyone in the dark just makes people nervous and causes gossip.

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
It's a good mid-sized firm that practices what they preach in terms of diversity. You get to do interesting public sector work.

What did you not like about this institution?
The pay is rather low for this kind of firm. The hours are long, but that is to be expected. Management seems a bit disconnected, which the employees can pick up on and doesn't help morale.

Firm that is really changing for the worse on May 19, 2024 - Current Employee Mr. in San Francisco City,

Full time Current Employee

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
The firm is diverse, though it seems diversity is stressed only to the extent that can be used that as a marketing tool

What did you not like about this institution?
The firm is solely focused on increasing rates which is impacting morale and client service decisions. One equity partner in an economically successful practice is detrimentally changing the core of the firm. Droves of female and parent aged associates have left. This is no longer a place that values working parents.
