Make your employees feel valued for a change. Stop treating us like you own us just because you sign our checks.

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
Experienced attorneys with a solid client base.

What did you not like about this institution?
This firm is not friendly toward employees. Nobody talks to each other, there is no team building or sense of belonging. It absolutely feels like you are a replaceable part in a machine. It is also fairly cutthroat between the newer attorneys and the senior attorneys. For a small firm, this was a surprise. The partners are very closed off to new or different ideas and are very cheap when it comes to salary, bonuses, and raises. Some associates can get away with murder because they put on the right song and dance for the partners, while the hard working associates that don't kiss up to the partners are overlooked. One partner often brings his dog to work and distracts the rest of the office from getting much done.

Jeff. He is in poor health and whenever he feels bad, he is extra mean and judgmental of others. He will also talk about you to others in the firm loud enough that you can hear it and know he is talking about you.

How could this employer run its business to employees or the public better?
There is plenty of work to do so job security due to lack of work is less of a concern.
