Lawyers to the Oil Industry on May 19, 2024 - Current Employee Mr. in San Francisco City,

Current Employee

What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
I would like to see a little shift toward more of a cooperative atmosphere than a competitive one. It would cut down on some of the stress.

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
This is a fairly large firm with a decent variety of cases but the vast majority of the work is related to the oil and gas industry that is so prevalent in this area of Texas. You are well compensated and well respected here.

What did you not like about this institution?
The atmosphere can be a little too competitive for my tastes. You really have to work at it to make sure that you get the top clients and cases.

Poor compensation, low morale on May 19, 2024 - Current Employee Mr. in San Francisco City,

Full time Current Employee

What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
The shareholders care more about their own checkbooks than they do about the staff, Associates, or even about the overall shabby appearance of the Office decor. The corner of rug in the waiting room is taped down to the floor for goodness sake!

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
It is located where I live.

Worst place to work! on May 19, 2024 - Former Employee Mr. in San Francisco City,

Full time 2021 Former Employee

What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
The firm was great without the new hr director.

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
Great pay and benefits

What did you not like about this institution?
The new HR director is terrible. She is nothing but a snake and a liar. She talks down to you and will micromanage you and make your life a living hell!

People, departments, offices, products, services and whatever comes to mind that should be avoided at this institution
Shareholders and associates are great!

How could this employer run its business to employees or the public better?
It was a great firm until the hr director came on board. None of the support staff has any respect for her because of the way she treats everyone.
