What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
More investment in employee development, better management, and a more supportive work environment would be a start. Streamlining processes with modern software and improving HR's response to concerns would help too.
What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
The office location near South Station was convenient, and the building was secure. Every employee had to go through a security checkpoint each day.
What did you not like about this institution?
I disliked the micromanagement, especially for non-attorneys. Raises were rare, promotions nonexistent, and employee development was ignored. Many partners, like Jennifer Burke, were condescending and lacked interpersonal skills. HR was ineffective in addressing concerns, and the workplace culture was toxic.
People, departments, offices, products, services and whatever comes to mind that should be avoided at this institution
I will mention Jennifer Burke one more time: she consistently displays a negative attitude and unprofessional behavior towards colleagues, creating a difficult work environment. Her demeanor has led to discomfort among staff members.
How could this employer run its business to employees or the public better?
By prioritizing employee well-being, investing in development, and addressing toxic behavior from partners. Modernizing processes and improving HR's effectiveness would also make a big difference.
What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
I would have a better technology upgrade program. I think it would make the productivity of the paralegals and attorneys better. No one likes to lose data because of a bad drive or processor.
What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
I found that they stressed work life balance. I never felt like I was overloaded with cases to work on. The firm was well staffed and the senior attorneys were very helpful if I did need a second opinion. The pay was comparable with some higher tier firms which was a plus.
What did you not like about this institution?
I could not find anything wrong with the firm when I was there. The firm itself has very little wrong with it. The only thing I could think of that would be bad is the computers could use a better upgrade schedule.
