Relax a little bit and lower the expectations. Not all great employees can deal with this management style. Increase the pay substantially if you absolutely can't change.
What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
All employees are given a great deal of responsibility. This will be great for your resume and for landing another job in the future as you'll know a great deal more than you do now.
What did you not like about this institution?
This isn't a great firm for anyone who likes to feel comfortable all the time. You'll be asked to do more than you think is possible and it can be very stressful.
