What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
If possible, I think the practice should try to network with other firms so that lawyers who are interested in advancing their careers will at least have more opportunities.
What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
I really liked that the firm had a great focus on really developing good relationships with a lot of our clients. The firm deals with a lot of family oriented cases since it is one of the areas of practice. This is one of the reasons the superiors had always tried to emphasize a good culture in the workplace when it comes to making sure our clients were treated like friends and not just customers. This is a belief that I have taken with me as my career progressed.
What did you not like about this institution?
I wish there was more room for moving up within the firm. There didn't seem to be too many opportunities for quick advancement within the firm. Part of what make the culture great is that a lot of the superiors had been with the firm for a while but it also made for a stricter format when it came to promotions.
