Management should be more lenient with workers. We will work hard regardless if we are emailed or not. More opportunities to rise in station would also be great.
What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
The firm is a great place to work for, and the location is close to my home. The pay is great and above what I expected. Benefits are somewhat lacking. There are some big cases to work on from time to time.
What did you not like about this institution?
I work longer hours for the firm than I would like. There are regular emails about dress code and prohibiting food or drink at our desks. Management really pushes us to work hard.

Reid and Riege's Summer Associate Program, for second-year law students, is an essential component of our associate recruitment, hiring and long-term planning process. We interview, hire, train and mentor our Summer Associates with one simple goal, which is to secure outstanding future attorneys to join Reid and Riege after graduation from law school and to practice with us long into the future. Our program, run from our Hartford, Connecticut office, starts in late May or early June and ends in early to mid August, depending on the school schedules of our Summer Associates. The program involves a rotation through a number of our Practice Areas, where the Summer Associate will be fully integrated into each area for the period of assignment, to both learn the basics of the Practice Area as well as experience challenging and meaningful work assignments, and whenever possible, attend client meetings, hearings, court proceedings and the like. Throughout the summer, Stockholder and Associate mentors will be assigned to actively assist the Summer Associates in training, work assignments and in all matters involving their overall experience at Reid and Riege.
